Here are examples of cold email prompts you can create from scratch and use in your outreach campaigns. These templates are designed to engage your audience at different stages of your outreach journey.

I. Introduction Email

The first step in your outreach process is to introduce your product or service and suggest a conversation. This email aims to establish a connection by offering value based on the recipient's potential challenges.

II. Follow-Up Email

If you don’t get a response to your initial email, sending a follow-up helps keep the conversation alive. This email politely reminds the recipient of your previous message and reiterates the value of connecting.

Subject: Following Up on Our Last Note

Hi {{prospect_first_name}},

Just following up on my earlier message about how {{sender_company_name}} can help {{prospect_company_name}} move forward with its priorities. Let me know if you’re available for a quick chat.

Best,
{{sender_name}}

III. Second Follow-Up Email

If the recipient still hasn’t responded, a second follow-up email shows persistence without being too forceful. It offers flexibility for them to choose a more suitable time for further discussion.

Subject: Still Open to Exploring Opportunities?

Hi {{prospect_first_name}},

Just checking in to see if you're open to discussing how we can support {{prospect_company_name}} with its current goals. If now isn’t ideal, I’d be happy to reconnect later.

Best,
{{sender_name}}

IV. Referral Request Email

Sometimes, instead of directly pitching your product or service, it’s effective to ask for referrals. This email requests connections to others who might benefit from your offering.

Subject: Can You Recommend Someone?

Hi {{prospect_first_name}},

Hope all is well! If you know someone who could benefit from what we offer at {{sender_company_name}}, I’d greatly appreciate any referrals or introductions.
