Email Account -- Best Practices
Email Account -- Best Practices
Updated over 3 weeks ago

At B2B Rocket, we’re committed to helping you achieve the best possible results with your cold outreach campaigns. To ensure your email deliverability, reputation, and compliance, we do not support using email aliases for sending cold emails.

Here’s why:

The Best Practice: Use B2B Rocket's DFY Domains and Mailboxes

To maximize your outreach success, we strongly recommend using our Done-For-You (DFY) Domains and Mailboxes. This service is specifically designed to:

  • Protect Your Primary Domain: All cold emails are sent from dedicated domains to safeguard your main business email reputation.

  • Ensure Proper Warm-Up: We take care of warming up the mailbox to meet industry standards for cold email deliverability.

  • Optimize Results: With expert configuration and management, you can focus on campaigns while we handle the technical setup.

  • Minimize Compliance Risks: Our DFY setup ensures you follow email regulations and best practices.

B2B Rocket Does Not Support Email Aliases

  1. Limited Deliverability
Email aliases share the same domain reputation as the primary address. If an alias gets flagged for spam, your entire domain could suffer, including your primary email account.

  2. Domain Reputation Risks
Sending cold emails from your primary domain—even via aliases—puts your main business email at risk of blacklisting. This can negatively impact not only your outreach but also your day-to-day communications.

  3. No True Warm-Up Process
Email providers treat aliases differently from full mailboxes. Aliases lack the ability to build a reputation through proper email warm-up, which is critical for high deliverability.

  4. Impersonal Sender Details
Generic aliases (e.g., [email protected] or [email protected]) can reduce trust with recipients, leading to lower open and response rates.

Can I Bring My Own Domains or Mailboxes?

While it’s technically possible to bring your own domain, this approach requires significant expertise and increases the risk of poor results. Using your primary domain or aliases is not supported, as it compromises both deliverability and your email reputation.

We highly recommend using our DFY service for optimal performance and security.
